Today when I watched the local TV program, there's a news story about a couple. They have married and their daughter's eight years ago, and because of the economic issues, there are disputes between them. From the reporter's investigation, the husband's families claim that the wife has moved the money they have earned together back to her own pocket, and the husband was very angry so crashed the petty grocery store his wife's sister runs. After claimed at the court, the divorce is allowed and the family assets should be evenly separated. However, the ex-husband claims that the real money is not returned to him, so he often took two bricks and smashed his ex-wife's sister' store's glasses. One night, when he did that and rushed away on his motorcycles, he's too busy and hit by the truck.
After investigation, it's just a traffic accident, so the truck driver paid about 250 thousands as the compensation. Ex-wife now claims that she should get part of the payment. Why? After the judge from the court, the ex-husband doesn't agree with that, so he brings the case to higher level court, so the original decision was not authorized.
Well, I have deep sympathy for the man. It's not possible to make out whether indeed the wife has taken all the money away, and he's treated unfair, but I don't see it very meaningful to revenge by crashing the glasses. Be a man, and be generous, especially the money involved is really not much.
Record this down to teach myself a lesson: be rational and fair, and if it's within my power, be generous to people around.
